Title: Golden ratio. Where are you?
Abstract:
The aim of this project is to study one of the most wellknown irrational numbers, the Golden number. Students will discover this number in their bodies, in real world and arts, by sharing data and making statistics, sharing photos,...
Students will measure their bodies (total height and height navel-feet), they'll share these numbers in Google Drive and then they'll calculate means of several quotients, in teams-2 members of each country-, they'll compare these mean with Golden number and study if there are differences between countries, group aof ages or gender. Then, each team will write an entry in the project blog explaining their conclusions.
Another activity will be to share in padles images showing that Golden number is in real world, then using a survey they'll decide which images are the best and working with Geogebra, they will show how Golden ratio appears in these images.
Finally they will wirte entries in the project blog
